Dear Mr Shriman,
Dont fret Sir, Hindi isnt our only National Language. We still have 22 National Languages one of which is Hindi. Sadly not many are aware of this and the erroneous concept of a single National Language is widespread and even taught in schools (All of us would have learnt that hindi was our rashtrabhasha)

It’s funny that Samajwadi Party’s Abu should display the following hoarding against MNS in Mumbai: Hindi desh ki rashtrabhasha, hindi virodhi desh virodhi. He purports to say that if one speaks against Hindi, one perpetrates the crime of treason or sedition. This is ridiculous. In fact, in a country that is federated into linguistic States, having one national language is a treasonable idea; all 22 languages in the schedule of the Constitution should be National Languages.

Flower with no stem – very nice thought and it conveys one should be sensitve to all around. Nevertheless I would not expect all to be as sensitive as only experience makes you so. In this case the florist may never ever have viewed a situtation the way this challanged child did. Empathising would builda great community while sympathising provides only crutches.
